Our Foundation Partner
Hormuud Salaam Foundation
Hormuud Salaam Foundation (HSF) is a non-profit foundation fully funded by Hormuud Telecom and Salaam Somali Bank, created for the sole purpose of providing charitable contributions to improving the everyday lives of Somalis.
In 2020, during the Coronavirus pandemic, HSF and partners donated over USD $5 million towards Somalia's coronavirus healthcare and pandemic relief efforts. In 2021, HSF supported the effort to help raise $4 million for the Somalia Action Network Covid-19 relief fund, in partnership with the Somali Chamber of Commerce.
In the same year, HSF donated Somalia's first public oxygen plant. The plant, purchased from Turkey, was donated to help Somalia cope with severe shortages of medical oxygen and was installed at the Banadir Maternity and Children Hospital.
HSF funds a range of philanthropic relief projects, directly responding to humanitarian crises across Somalia.

Student Internship Programs
By nurturing local talent, we're creating the next generation of finance professionals. Our Internship Program offers young people hands-on experience in banking, finance, and business management, providing them with invaluable insights into the industry.
We created a programme where interns can learn from experienced mentors, develop skills to get them into the workplace, and gain the confidence to build successful careers.
Social Event Sponsorship
We proudly sponsor social events across Somalia, bringing people together, celebrating our heritage, and promoting unity. From festivals to sports events, our sponsorship initiatives enhance community engagement and showcase the rich cultural tapestry of Somalia.

Environmental Responsibility
Somalia is on the frontline of climate change, impacting our communities and changing their ways of life. We are actively working to channel green investments into Somalia, and on a local level our tree planting initiative combats deforestation.
Our goal is a cleaner, greener Somalia for generations to come.
Financial Literacy Training
Financial inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. This means helping people understand financial best practices and use our services in meaningful ways.
